Product Warranty

Our cycle maintenance chemicals are made to the highest standards by a reputable manufacturer. We guarantee that the product you receive has the chemical composition advertised on our website, and is free of defects in materials or workmanship. How you choose to use the product is entirely up to you. We are not liable for any damage to your equipment or person caused whilst using our products. For advice on bicycle maintenance methods, safety, and best practices we suggest you consult a qualified cycle mechanic, or go on a professional training course.

Cancellation Policy

If you are an individual your purchase is covered by the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations (these do not apply to limited companies and business users). You have the right to cancel your order for a period of 14 days from when you receive the goods. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods, which must be done at your own expense. The goods must be received unopened and in saleable condition. You will then receive a full refund, including the cost of us sending the goods to you (If you opted for an enhanced delivery option the extra cost above the basic postage and packing cost will not be refunded.) If you are a limited company or business user, the cancellation terms are the same, however in this case we will not refund the cost of sending the goods to you.

If the goods are defective, or do not match the description on our website we will pay for the cost of the return carriage. You will need to provide sufficient evidence to support your claim. Once you have opened the product, we do not accept any returns if you are dissatisfied with your purchase and changed your mind.

Returns Policy

In addition to your basic right of cancellation, we also accept returns within two months of purchase. If you wish to return a product for a credit, please contact us first to discuss the matter. We generally will refund for unopened products in saleable condition that you may choose to return, making a deduction for the post and packing that it cost us to send you goods in the first place. Credits will only be made to the same card that was used for the purchase. This returns policy does not extend to our trade customers. This policy is in addition to your statutory rights.

Please note once the packaging has been opened, we are unable to accept a cancellation or return. Please be aware that we cannot be held responsible and provide refunds/exchanges on stock affected by circumstances beyond our control. This includes damage and neglect after goods are received, goods being stored in climatic conditions such as extremes of temperature that can affect some items, and damage by third parties.

Privacy Policy

We may collect information from you on our web sites. However, it is our policy to use this information only internally within our company. In other words, we are not going to pass your information to third parties. In addition we only use this information to contact you when we believe it is in your own best interests, such as if we encounter a delay or problem with your order, or for a product recall. If we provide you with occasional information about changes to our business or product range that we think will be of interest to you, then we will provide you with an easy way to remove yourself from any such future mailings. The only information we may store on the website is that which you would enter yourself into a form or to complete an order.

Cookies

Our website uses Google Analytics to monitor anomynous site traffic statistics. With your consent, this causes Google to store their analytics cookies on your computer. The way that Google uses your personal data is described in the Google Privacy and Terms site.

Cookies are also used by the YouTube player which is neccesary for the embedded videos in some of our pages. This uses two Cookies which track your viewing behaviour, and these are used for personalisation of advertising across the Google network. These are disabled by default and will not be used unless you choose to activate them.

The cookie banner appears when you first use the site asking for your consent to use Tracking Cookies. You may decline and disable this feature or allow them. Advertising cookies are disabled unless you specifically activate them from your cookie preferences. The only other cookies used are functional and essential to the operation of the site.

Product Safety and Liability

All information offered is believed to be true and is offered for consideration in good faith. However Smith & Young Sales Ltd, which trades as Ride Right, gives no warranties, neither explicit nor implicit as to the completeness or accuracy of any information offered nor the ultimate safety of using a cycle maintenance product in any manner described or suggested nor the ultimate safety or hazardousness of products supplied by Smith & Young Sales Ltd. The onus is on the purchaser to evaluate all possible risk of activities undertaken whilst using a cycle maintenance product, and by proceeding to use the product, the purchaser thereby assumes all risk of peril or injury howsoever arising.

If you decide not to use the product, just return it unopened and in saleable condition within two months and we’ll cheerfully refund your money (possibly less the postage and packaging cost.)

Data Security Policy

It is our policy to treat your private data with the same degree of security with which we treat our own private data. All employees are required to sign non-disclosure agreements.

If you provide us with your credit or debit card number in writing, verbally or by fax then it is retained only long enough to process the transaction. It is not stored by us.

We never see any credit card number that you enter into the payment page of our web site. This payment page is on the secure server of Sage Pay, a leading internet credit card handling firm. You may find out about their policies at https://www.sagepay.co.uk/. We prefer not to be responsible for storing this sensitive data.

As a result of this policy on credit card data, we have to ask you for the data on each occasion that you make a purchase. We trust that this is a small price to pay for this security.

Our preferred method of doing business is through our web site and by email. These are efficient modern means of communicating and generally save both you and us time. We have tried to provide as much information as we can on this web site.
